Born in Adairsville, GA, he grew up in Dunnellon, Fl from age 12. He graduated from Dunnellon Senior High School as senior class president and a member of the football team..
After graduating, Jackson enlisted in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Korea and later stationed at Ft. Rucker, Alabama.
After leaving the Army, Jackson moved to Tampa, FL where he was in the insurance industry for 55 years and eventually co-owned his own insurance company.
He loved bass fishing with friends and the University of Florida Gator football team.
He is survived by wife Ann Jones, his daughter Terri Quinlan, son Jackson Jones and six grandchildren.
Celebration of life services to be held at Idlewild Baptist Church, Friday, June 4th at 12pm.
