I was close friends Jackie and her husband, Alan Hoffman of Yellow Springs, Ohio.  He /I, were close friends in the AIR COMMANDOS,  serving together in VIETNAM IN 1962-63! We flew C47s in Panama 164-65, til his aircraft hit a Mtn. On approach to Cali, ,  Columbia!  I was privileged to accompany the remaining family, Jackie, daughter Debbie, and son Danny,  to Tampa, Fl. Where they lived with my in-laws while their new home  was construction!
As far as I knew , no bodies were ever recovered!
Alan and family had  dinner with my family the evening before!  Because I had flown 4 missions that week, I begged off joining him and the other buddy who also dinned with us,  we three had served together in VNM IN 1962-63! Leonard REDWINE was his name, originally of WATER VALLEY, MS.. 14 souls were on board, 9 AF,  5 Army!  I did meet with Alan’s family in  
CARMEL, Ca., in Nov., 1967!
