James R. Carroll

Beloved husband, father, stepfather, step-grandfather and step great-grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away at home on July 4th, 2026, in Tampa, Florida.

Wife Joan Lee Skinner Carroll (Deceased 1986)., Wife Lucy Kelly Carroll, married 37 years. Daughters Jean Marie Londono, (Alex): Joanna Lee Mull, (Ernest). Son, Jeff Keith Carroll, (Deceased). Sue Conrad, (Mark), John Horney, (Kim).

Born in Asbury Park, New Jersey., raised in Buffalo, New York. Attended St. Joseph Collegiate Institute for Boys, Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Joined the Navy, serving 26 years, starting as Fire Controlman aboard submarines, advancing to Staff. Retired in 1980. Employed by Unisys Clearwater as a Field Engineer Supervisor.

Jim was active in Town and Country Community, joining, with his wife Lucy, volunteering with HCSO on Hanley Road. Involved with the Town and Country Community Council, and with the Juvenile Justice Program through the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

He helped start and was the first President of the Savannah Mustang Club (GA), member and past President of Suncoast Mustang Club, Clearwater, and Board Member of the Mustang Club of Tampa.

Traveled with the Great American Pony Drive, joining Mustang lovers from all over the world traveling the USA.

Loved Viking River Cruises, traveling through Europe with his wife.

He will be missed by many, loved by all who knew him.
