

CARSON, James Alton "Jace" 74, Tampa, Florida. Born November 12, 1943, went to be the with the Lord on November 28, 2017. Jace was born in Houston, TX, to Clyde and Louise Carson. In October 1966, Jace joined the U.S. Army and served as an Infantry Guard during the Vietnam War until 1968. Jace married the love of his life, Darcey, in 1986 and they moved to Tampa, Florida. He worked for the USPS for 26 years as a Mail Processing Clerk. He was an Envoy Member of Beta Sigma Phi, Lambda Master Chapter, Tampa, for 17 years. Jace is survived by his wife, Darcey; and their two daughters, Darcel Stewart (James) and Rachelle Simonof (John). He has three grandchildren, Mandelin, Laura and Laban; and four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Audrianna, Alexander and McKenzie. A visitation will be held at Blount & Curry Carrollwood, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be the next day, Saturday, December 2 at 3 pm at the funeral home. A reception will follow at Keystone UMC, 16301 Race Track Road, Odessa. Flowers are accepted, as well as donations to Humane Society of Tampa Bay and American Legion Post #147.
