Jane Rawlings Thompson

While still an infant, her family moved to Greenwood, Indiana where she spent the rest of her childhood. She graduated from Purdue University 1973 with a bachelor's degree in Art Education. At Purdue she was a cheerleader and married Randy Thompson upon graduation.

They then moved to Tampa, Florida and had a wonderful 50 year marriage and had 3 sons, who added 2 daughters in-law and 5 grandchildren.

She was an art teacher at Seminole Presbyterian School which later became Cambridge Christian School for more than 20 years.

She loved taking trips to visit relatives, especially trips to the lake in Indiana and trips to southern California or North Carolina to visit her grandchildren. Her interests included reading, playing cards and doing crafts with the kids and she was actively involved in various Bible Studies over the years. Jane also enjoyed a very strong relationship with her cousins, even to current day.

She is survived by her loving husband Randy; sisters, Linda Youmans, Barbara Carter and Diane Rhodes as well her children, Randy Thompson Jr., Joe Thompson and Mike Thompson; daughters-in-law Ann and Amanda; grandchildren, Caleb, Hayley, Emily, Eli and Isaac.

Memorial Services will be held on February 4 at 2:00 PM at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church located at 2902 W. Fletcher Ave. Tampa, FL 33618.
