ROBERTS, Janet Mae, 72, passed away peacefully at home May 3rd 2018. Janet began a nursing career as a young woman, excelled as an agent with Eastern Airlines, then returned to nursing and eventually retired from James V.A. Haley as a beloved caregiver and coworker. Dressing up as Bootsie the Clown, she was dedicated to helping bring smiles to children with cancer. Janet was extremely educated, valued knowledge, and never stopped learning. She was an active member at Idlewild Baptist Church. Janet is preceded in death by husbands Robert Fiedler and Ivan M Roberts. She is survived by her devoted son, Scot Fiedler, granddaughter Amber Fiedler, siblings; Marilyn Beaver (Al), Beverly Drought (Wes), Jimmy Andersen (Bonnie), Ken Andersen (Paulie), Burt Andersen (Trina), a dedicated team of caregivers, extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held 3 pm, Saturday May 12th followed by a visitation until 6 pm, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at the Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610. Those who wish may make memorial donations to a charity of their choice in Janet’s memory.
