Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, in March of 1951 Jeff was the beloved son of Virginia and John Kopsell. From an early age, he brought warmth, humor, and kindness to all those around him.
Jeff’s passion for music was a defining part of his life. He loved playing with his band, Crossfire, and was especially known for his talent on the saxophone and guitar . Whether performing for an audience or simply sharing music with friends, he found joy in every note and left lasting memories with those fortunate enough to hear him play.
Beyond his love of music, Jeff cherished time spent with family and friends. He valued companionship, laughter, and the simple pleasures of life. In his final weeks, he found great happiness at the beach and surrounded by loved ones.
Jeff will be remembered for his kind spirit, his love of music, and the joy he brought to others. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving family and many dear friends who will miss him deeply and treasure the moments they shared with him.
“Freebird” lyrics for memory cards
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on, now
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see
But if I stay here with you, girl
Things just couldn't be the same
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now
And this bird you cannot change
