PHARR, Jerry Thomas McLin, Sr., 68, of Tampa, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. A bon vivant till the end, Jerry spent a lifetime making people smile. Whether cutting the rug on a dance floor, saving lives as a paramedic with the Tampa Fire Department, or regaling friends with tall tales over a drink, he was always gracious and gregarious … even when he disagreed with you over politics. He owned and operated Pharr Interiors and continued to work in the construction industry inspecting and supervising various projects. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, JT and Edith Pharr, so he’ll now have an eternity with his mom and dad to dance the night away and complain about those gosh darn Republicans. He is survived by scores of cherished friends, as well as his sisters, Pamela Wynne and Sheila Smith; his children, Heidi Kallett (and husband Joel Kallett) and Jerry Pharr, Jr. (and wife Sharrah Pharr); his step daughter, Nichole Delisle Beroset; and his grandchildren Ethan Kallett, Jordan Kallett, and Townes Pharr. The family will receive friends 5-7pm Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel (3207 W. Bearss Ave.), where funeral services will be conducted at 10am, Monday, December 22. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. Words of comfort may be expressed at jerrypharr.com/funeral
