Jo Ann Grace O'Brien

JoAnn was the youngest child of John and Rose Harris of Staten Island, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents and older siblings, John Harris Jr. (Josephine), William Harris (Christine), Dorothy Julian (Francis), and Rosemarie Rogers (Robert).

JoAnn was a strong, beautiful, Irish woman of devout Catholic faith. She enjoyed her career as a nurse, but was more devoted to her true profession, (grand)motherhood, her calling that brought her the most joy in life.

JoAnn is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William F. O’Brien, M.D., her four children and their spouses, Erin O’Brien, Kevin O’Brien (Courtney), Colin O’Brien (Emily) and Kerry Thomas (Ryan), as well as her nine grandchildren, Kiera, Aidan, Riley, Aislinn, Kaylee, Logan, Connor, Shannon & Sean.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 5-7 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020, at 10am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, Florida 33618.
