Joe Harvey Meredith Jr.

Joe Harvey Meredith Jr., 88, of Tampa, left this world on August 22, 2010 after a lengthy illness to be with his Lord and family. Joe was born March 11, 1922 in Springfield, MO and was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lynn T. Meredith. He is survived by two daughters; Marcia L. Barnes (Gordon) and Patricia Meredith Patterson (Jerry); as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and sister; Virginia Jackson of Springfield, MO. Joe served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII where he met the love of his life. He and Lynn were involved in their place of worship, Christ the King Catholic Church. They loved to travel and are travelling together again. A visitation will be held on Friday August 27, 2010 from 9 to 10:30AM at Christ the King Catholic Chapel (821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL) with a funeral mass to follow in the church. Interment will take place at Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Joe’s name to Christ the King Youth Center.
