John Hathal Baglin

John Hathal Baglin was born in Tampa, Florida to Betty Jean Baglin on March 11, 1958. John never knew his birth father growing up but set on a journey of finding him in John’s later years. Through many years of research, John not only found his birth father, but also found his half-brothers and stepmother. John’s birth father, James Kenneth Fairfax had passed by the time John found him; however, his extended family welcomed him with open arms.

He graduated from Hillsborough High School, worked in construction after graduation and later moved into the Human Resources department for Hillsborough County. He recently retired at the age of 62 and enjoyed spending time with his family, dog and passing time at his lake house. John loved staying busy – working on cars, mowing the yard, building and tinkering with things. He loved tools, BBQ and Elvis, but more than anything he loved his family.

John is survived by his daughter, Brigitte Lee, Son in Law, David Lee, mother, Betty Baglin, granddaughter, Alyssa Lee, half-brothers Tom Fairfax and Ken Fairfax, stepmother, Josephine Fairfax and last but certainly not least his doggie daughter, Taz.

The family of John Baglin wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of John’s friends and family that have kept him in their prayers.

Service will be held on Saturday, October 21st at Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood located at 3207 W Bearss Ave., Tampa, Florida 33618. Visitation begins at 12PM with service to celebrate John’s life at 1PM.
