AYO, Joseph Julio passed away August 10, 2022. A Tampa and Ybor City native, Joseph J. Ayo, was born August 19, 1944. He graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1962. He went on to become a Realtor Emeritus and an accomplished residential and commercial property appraiser, achieving an MAI/SRA (Senior Residential Appraiser) designation which is held by fewer than one percent of appraisers nationwide. He was the founder and President of Ayo Associates Incorporated for over 40 years, following his passion to appraise real estate into early retirement. "Joe" was a loving family man, who had a passion for the city of Tampa, and was deeply rooted in the community. Joe was a parishioner of St. Paul's Catholic Church for 20 plus years. During his spare time, he could be found watching a Tampa Bay Rays, Lightning or Bucs game, doing home projects and serving on the advisory council of The Salvation Army. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose Ayo; brother, Ralph Ayo; and brother-in-law, Wayne Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Yolanda Ayo; children, Joe Ayo (Kevin), Michael Rossi (Karen) and Sandra Rossi (Jason); grandchildren, Mike Rossi, Lucia Rossi-Wells, Bruna Sales, Caitlin Julian (Zachary), Linette Llinas; great-grandchildren, Aria, Joseph, Zoey, and Yanizel; siblings, Maria Ayo Wilson and Robert Ayo (Mary); and many loving nephews, nieces and cousins. Visitation and memorial services will be held Friday, September 2, 6-8 pm, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa, FL. A Catholic funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 3, 12 pm, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 12708 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, FL.
