BARRETO GUERRERO, Juan "John" 71, passed away on June 8, 2024, Tampa, FL. He was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Rafael Barreto Ramon and Ricarda Guerrero Padro on July 20, 1952. John worked in the Termite and Pest Control industry his whole life and was known as the "Godfather of Fumigation." Passing on his legacy to his sons. "John" went on to start his own termite and pest control company Barreto and Sons termite and pest control. He was a hard worker and could not sit still for two seconds. All who knew him knew just how stubborn and sarcastic of a man he was. "John" loved his family, cigarettes, and an ice-cold Budweiser beer. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Migdalia Medina.
He is survived by his spouse Donna "Jeannie" Barreto; sons, Christopher Barreto (wife Leonor), John "JJ" Barreto (wife Amanda); step-son, James Kellum (wife Cindy); sisters, Judie Cumba, Noelia Barreto; brother, Angel Barreto; and grandchildren, Darius, John "Little JJ", Kalesta, Alysia, and Mathias Barreto.
Services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories 4207 Lake Ave, Tampa, Visitation 9-10 am: Service 10-11 am followed by burial service.
