Julia (Judy) Toledo- Simmons

The loving wife of Jefferson C. Simmons Sr. (Jay).

They were together for 34 years and celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary three days prior to her death on November 19, 2025 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Florida.

A native of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Judy was born to the late Fred and Ruth Wilson and was of the Baptist faith.

Judy moved to Tampa, Florida with her family at a young age. She never met a stranger, was very kind and a fantastic cook. Her Hello Dollies' are famous to her family and friends and she had a great eye for detail. Her neighbors and her friends were like family to her.

Five years ago her and her husband moved to Spring Hill to be closer to family. Making new friends and neighbors that she also loved like family.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jeff Sr. (Jay); 2 stepchildren, Jeff Jr. and Sue Ellen Simmons.

a sister, several grandchildren , great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Whom she dearly loved and loved her. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 12:30pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends from 11:30AM-12:30pm. The interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
