Julio Bernardo Mateus Ruiz, age 50, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 02, 2021. Julio was born December 06, 1971 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Julio Mateus Jijon and Carmen Mateus Ruiz. He was the oldest of 3 siblings, Jose and Juan Carlos. He was married to Angelica Ayala and had 2 children: Julio Andres and Alejandra.
Julio Bernardo was a great son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many across the world. He was a friend’s friend and a fighter that knew how to confront and battle his sickness with dignity and courage. His greatest love was his family and made sure since early age to provide a path for success in life together with his loving wife.
A funeral service for Julio Bernardo will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. May he rest in peace and prayers for all his family and loved ones.
