February 24, 1947 – May 18, 2019
Mrs. Kareen Newcombe died peacefully at Melech Hospice House on May 18, 2019 in Tampa, Florida at the age of 72 after a long battle with illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Newcombe, her daughter, Aprile Anne McIntosh, and her sister, Sister Margaret Exworthy.
Kareen was born on February 24, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Francis and Jane Exworthy. She held many jobs over her storied life, but is well known for her long-operated beauty salon, her operatic singing, and much sought-after church organ playing. She spent several years teaching music and art to kindergarten and elementary grades in her late 20's and early 30's. She is remembered as a kind and generous spirit in a flowered blouse, quick with a joke, yet fiercely protective of her children and grandchildren.
