Kay was raised in Mobile and graduated from Bishop Toolen High School with the Class of 1958. She enjoyed a long and successful career with Prudential Insurance Company. In 1990, she was transferred to Tampa, Florida, and remained there upon retiring after 38 years of dedicated service. Although she made her home in Tampa, Mobile always held a special place in her heart and remained the city she considered home.
Kay will be remembered for her vibrant personality, quick wit, and infectious sense of humor. She was caring, loving, and fiercely devoted to her family and friends. Whether she was shopping, traveling, or enjoying a game of bingo, Kay found joy in life's simple pleasures and loved sharing those moments with others. Her favorite color was purple, a perfect reflection of the warmth and brightness she brought to every room. Her laughter, kindness, and love created countless cherished memories, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CurePSP at psp.org.
Those wishing to honor Kay are encouraged to wear a touch of purple in remembrance of her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to so many lives.
