Traynor, Laurence Joseph Larry, 63, formerly of St. Charles, MO, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 in his home in Tampa, FL. A private celebration of life was held with immediate family members. He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Peg, of Tampa, FL; sons, Jack (Jaimie) of Orlando, FL and Will of Denver, CO; and brothers, Jack (Barbara) and Dan (Joann). He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Larry was born August 16, 1954, the youngest of three boys to John and Jessie Traynor in East St. Louis, IL. He attended John F. Kennedy High School in St. Louis, MO and graduated from The University of Missouri, Columbia.

He married the love of his life, Peg (Bechtold), on August 14, 1982 and was a caring partner and loving best friend. Larry was a cherished husband, beloved father, dear brother and brother-in-law, fun-loving uncle, true friend and admired colleague. He had a way of impacting everyone he encountered with his compassionate demeanor and witty sense of humor. He was a brilliant and well-respected businessman, but his proudest accomplishment was his family around whom his world revolved. Our hearts are broken to think of life without LT. His humor, wit, courage, integrity, enthusiasm, compassion and love will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Larry epitomized everything a good man aspires to be. If so moved, please consider donating to the American Heart Association in his honor.

Peg, I was so shocked to read in the St. Louis paper of Larry's passing. He was a great guy and you two made a fantastic couple. I'm certain this is very difficult for you and I can only hope that hearing from friends (even old ones) can remind you of some good times. I have informed Beth of your loss. BTW, you might not be aware of the fact that she has remarried and is now Beth Bates, residing in Lake St. Louis.
