Larry was born in Lakeland, FL, to Gerald and Geraldine Brown on October 8th, 1959. He graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1977, going on to receive his Bachelor's in Finance from the University of South Florida. Larry and Sheryl Keyes Brown were married on April 9th, 1983, in Odessa, Florida, by Rev. Don Keyes, Father of the bride. They recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary, reflecting on their shared love of 42 years.
Larry worked as an Analyst for Circana for 25 years. He received several awards for his leadership and performance over the years, most notably the CEO award for "Leading the Way," and his Dundie Award displayed proudly on his desk.
Larry and Sheryl also helped found Bay Hope Church (formerly known as Vandyke Church) in Lutz, FL. They watched as the church evolved from the early days of meeting in Claywell Elementary' s Cafeteria to the outstanding campus that stands today.
Larry volunteered to run sound and lighting for the Wednesday night "Deeper Life" services. Lighting and Tech ministry quickly grew into a passion for Larry. He was then placed on staff and eventually promoted to the Lighting Director for Bay Hope Church, where he enjoyed programming lights for over 25 years.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Geraldine Brown, and his father-in-law, Rev. Don Keyes.
Larry is survived by his devoted Wife, Sheryl Keyes Brown. His "Girl" and loving daughter Jenna Brown Dalfino, and "favorite son-in-law" Ashton Dalfino. His brother Gary Brown (Consuelo), his brother-in-law Don Keyes Jr. (Tammie), Mother-in-law Nancy McConnell Keyes, and Uncle Don Brown (Lillian), Aunt Joyce McConnell, Uncle Owen and Aunt Pat McConnell. If you wish to follow in Larry's footsteps, he would greatly appreciate you supporting Sheryl by offering donations instead of flowers to the Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind (nonprofit).
Sheryl, with the help of Larry at her side, has served The Lighthouse for 38 years and is the current CEO. The effects of COVID left The Lighthouse with great need. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated as Larry would gain comfort knowing his Wife's nonprofit is financially supported by those he loved.
