Uncle Les,
You are gone from us physically but you will forever remain in our hearts. If love could have healed you and kept you with us, uncle you would still be here. We cherish every moment spent with you and although it hurts to know we will never see you, touch you, or hear your voice again, we are comforted because we are convinced you are in a better place and pain free.

Sleep in Peace.

Grandpa, I love you so much. It hurts my heart when I think of how much pain you were in, and yet you still cared about everybody else in our family besides yourself. The last conversation we had, has and will continue to shaped and guided my life. I want you to know everything I promise you. I will do it to the best of my ability. Grandpa, I will forever miss you.

The memories of my childhood summers in Florida will be forever lasting, and spending those times with my grandfather was nothing short of priceless. He was the definition of a hard working man. He would make huge alterations to the house while showing his grandkids every skill that was necessary to accomplish the task. As I got older he would pull me to the side and say “Come here mi man” and Once I hear that I knew he was getting ready to give me some knowledge that will help me become the man I needed to be in life. He would say “ Make sure you live correctly and take care of your responsibilities” He would always let you know how much he loves you and with those words it would make you feel so protected and loved. I took time for granted and i miss you everyday. Thank You Grandfather for making the sacrifices you’ve made because you’ve molded me for the better. I love you and will miss you forever. Grandpa, you will truly be missed. I will always remember facetiming you and talking to you on the phone all the time. You would always pick up the phone with a smile and say “Hello Sweetie”. I will never forget your many talks with me encouraging me to get a education and to have respect for myself. Thank you for keeping your promise to me until the very end. Please continue to watch over all of us. We love you so much and we will take care of Mumma for you don’t worry.

As I Look Back!!

As I look back over time,
I find myself wondering. . .
Did I remember to thank you enough
for all, you have done for us?
For all the times you were by our sides
to help and support us,
to celebrate our successes,
to understand our problems,
and accept our defeats?

Or for teaching us by your example,
the value of hard work, good judgment,
courage and integrity?

I wonder if we ever thanked you
for the sacrifices you made
to let us have the best?
And for the simple things
like laughter, smiles, and times we shared?

If we have forgotten to show our
Gratitude enough for all the things you did, like taking the time to pass on words of wisdom in your own words, and understanding, even when you were on your sickbed, you find the strength to call the grandkids to talk to them about the realities of life, we’re thanking you now. And we are hoping you knew all along, how much you meant to us.

Rest well, Father.

These are the words of my father and I quote:
1. Get an education
2. Stay out of trouble
3. Stay out of bad company
4. Take care of yourself
5. Trust God
6. How are those boys doing? Tell them I love them and they must take their education.
7. Father never liked us going to people houses :). I think that's the reason my sisters and I resort to staying home and sleep alot even as adults !! Thanks father, the sleeping is keeping us young except our husband sometimes are tired of us sleeping.
Farewell Father. Your memories will live on..

Leslie Murphy, You Are Gone, But Not Forgotten!!

I came into your family thirty plus years ago, and from the first time we met, you make me feel right at home. I will miss your stories about when you was a boy
and hearing you say "what's going on boss."

Your absence will definitely left a deep wound in our hearts. No matter how much we plan and prepare we can never truly prepare for the passing of a love one. No matter how timely, or untimely, death always leaves a heartache no one can heal, but Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

You may have been a man of few words, but when you spoke, everyone heard and take notice.

Today, as we mourn your loss, we thank God for a life well live, and no one can blame you for not being perfect, after all, there is only one perfect man and he died so that we could have 89 years of memories of love and laughter...sleep on.

What I love and remember is him having what I call power talks with my boys. Always filling them with encouragement and positivity....”SAY OUT OF TROUBLE” he would emphasize....and of course I don’t forget, playing the guitar for him and singing...❤️

Rest well Mr Murphy
