

Lilith was born in Kingston, Jamaica, WI to Claude Thomas and Alice Stewart on September 10, 1934. She attended St. George's Girls Elementary School and Excelsior High School in Kingston. She graduated from The Kingston Public Hospital School of Nursing with a State Registered Nurse diploma. Afterwards she trained as a State Certified Midwife. She worked at St. Andrews hospital. Lilith came to the USA in 1961 and worked at Beth Israel Hospital. She graduated from Hunter college in New York City with a Bachelor’s Degree, a Masters of Science Nursing and a Masters in Public Health. She went on to work as a Public Health Nurse for The New York City Department of Health for over 20 years. She was also an Adjunct Professor at Medgar Evers College - CUNY.
Lilith loved singing in the church and at home. Her opera-like tone caught the attention of all within range of her melodic voice. She loved to sing! Lilith enjoyed the arts, and often went to the theater, and cultural events. She held very dearly her closest friends. When at home she found simple pleasures in cultivating her gardens.
Lilith Geohaghan is preceded in death by her father Claude Thomas; mother Alice Stewart-Thomas; sister Cynthia Daley, and Nephew Dennis Daley.
Lilith is survived by children Howard Geohaghan and Richard Geohaghan; brothers Claude Thomas, Jr. and Frederick Thomas; sister Maria Thomas-Tracey; grandchildren Shaun Geohaghan, Eiza Geohaghan, and Knox Geohaghan.
Services will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church - 777 E 222nd St, Bronx, NY 10467.

Floral arrangement and memorials will be accepted by St. Luke Episcopal Church on Friday, August 19th up to 5pm. And Saturday August 20th up to 10:00am.
