On January 30, 2018, Lindsay Fitzpatrick Schwab, 38, of Port Richey, Florida, a cystic fibrosis warrior, lost her courageous life long battle against this incurable disease. Lindsay is survived by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband, David A. Dorshimer, Jr.; her mother and father, Doreen A. Fitzpatrick and Alfred P. Schwab, Jr.; her sister Elena Fitzpatrick Schwab and her brother-in-law, Brendon H. Mostert; four beloved nephews, Beckett, Asher, Reid and August; her grandmother, Gisela J. Schwab; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Although Lindsay only lived half a life, she lived it to the fullest with a zest for life. She loved music, especially the Beatles, reading, crocheting, cooking, going to Disney World with David, playing with her nephews on visits to Pennsylvania, walking, birds, dogs, cats, and making people happy. She had to handle many difficulties in her struggles with CF, but happiness and laughter were her favorite medicines.
Lindsay believed in the importance of medical research and participated in many medical trials that helped advance Cystic Fibrosis research to where it is today.
Lindsay was born in New Jersey, attended grade school in Ringwood, NJ and later moved to Pennsylvania where she attended Quakertown High School. She graduated from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA, with a B.S. in biology. For the past 9 ½ years, Lindsay worked for ProVest, LLC in Tampa, FL in various positions.
She will be remembered and greatly missed for her positive attitude, courage, determination, infectious smile, her laugh, and sense of humor. We will be lost without her.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Lindsay’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Avenue, Suite 1100N, Bethesda, MD 20814
