Lois H. Klouse
November 6, 1922 – May 6, 2022

Lois Klouse, age 99, formerly of Brookfield, OH, peacefully passed away on May 6, 2022, in Tampa, FL. Lois is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Walter Klouse, a son, Thomas Klouse, and a daughter, Susan Klouse, all from Brookfield, OH. Lois’s sisters, Jeanne Wells and Marilyn Wolfgram also preceded her in death.
Lois will be deeply missed by her son Richard (Tina) Klouse in Charlotte, NC, daughter Barbara (Robert) DeJute in Tampa, FL, nine grandchildren: Jennifer (Harvey) Boyd, Julie Reid, David Klouse, Matthew (Brandy) Klouse, Gregory (Jessica) Klouse, Laura (Kory) Rizzo, Marc DeJute, Jason (Heather) DeJute, Jody DeJute, fourteen great-grandchildren: Caitlyn (Will) Addison, Hunter Boyd, Jackson Reid, Taylor Reid, Hailey Klouse, Chloe Klouse, Owen Klouse, Rhodes Klouse, Finn Klouse, Liana Rizzo, Dylan DeJute, Dashel DeJute, Hadley DeJute, Nicolas DeJute and great-great granddaughter, Charlotte Addison.
Lois was a true “people person” and never met a stranger. She worked as a secretary for Brookfield Local Schools until retiring in 1983. In her younger years, Lois was very active in Brookfield United Methodist Church and loved volunteering wherever needed. She was an expert bridge player and frequently had her name in the local newspaper, The Herald, for winning weekly Buhl Club bridge tournaments in Sharon, PA. Lois was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling and was passionate about playing cards and participated in several card clubs. She loved crossword puzzles, word games and could always be counted on to share a funny joke. Lois’s fun and joyful personality was contagious to everyone she met.
