

Lonna Ruth Field, 76, died November 7 at her home in Tampa. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to Lon and Ruth Setser on August 21, 1945. She attended Centerville, Ohio schools, Taylor University and later Iowa State University for her Master’s Degree. She married David Field on June 7, 1969.
Gifted with a quick mind, fearless personality and an insatiable appetite to achieve Lonna was a voracious reader, a musician, school teacher, business owner/entrepreneur, corporate executive, investor, lover of animals, farmer and women’s ministry leader/speaker. She had an instinct to not only see but to also draw out in others their gifts and potential. Her children and grandchildren drank at the well of Lonna’s wisdom and confidence. In tribute to Lonna many felt that she was their best friend.
Lonna is preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Ruth Setser.
She is survived by her husband David, her children Tory Field Arnett, Jonathan Field and Dana Stone, her husband Bryan and her eight grandchildren Jacob and Abby Arnett, Garrett, Hayden and Logan Field and Ansley, Megan and Sydney Stone.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday November 20, 2021 at Tampa Covenant Church. There will be a public viewing at the church one hour prior to the service. Immediately following the funeral, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm in Fellowship Hall, the family will host a catered buffet with Lonna’s memorabilia and family pictures.
