Throughout a long and distinguished working life, Luz Aida Baez devoted 40 years to service across a variety of government institutions, including the Department of Education in Puerto Rico and the FBI. She later continued her career with 15 years at Bank of America, where her professionalism and steady competence earned her the role of Executive Assistant and Office Manager for the President of International Banking at the World Trade Center. She retired six months before September 11, 2001, closing a remarkable chapter of dedicated work and responsibility.
Beyond her career, Luz found joy in the everyday blessings of family and home. She enjoyed working, vacationing with her family, shopping, baking, and singing. Christmas celebrations held a special place in her heart and were her most cherished time of year, bringing together the people she loved most. Dancing, however, was her true passion—an expression of spirit and warmth that those closest to her will long remember.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, whom she lost four years ago.
Luz is survived by her three daughters, Luz Mercedes, Aracelis, and Sandra.
