Magdalena Mendez

MENDEZ, Magdalena age 92, of Tampa, born to the late Dolores Sein on October 20, 1933, in Hatillo, Puerto Rico passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. She married Pilar Mendez on September 26, 1953, and they lived together in New York before relocating to Tampa.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Pilar.

She’s survived by her 3 sons Angel, Orlando and Irvin; daughter-in-laws, Iris and Karla; grandchildren, Orlando, Jonathan, Kristine, Mark, and Christopher; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.

Magdalena will be remembered for her beautiful smile and kind heart. Her love of family, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the lessons she shared will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618, on June 16, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

An additional visitation will take place at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood on June 17, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. Followed by the Funeral Service from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The Graveside Service will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, on June 17, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
