Marcus (Marc) T. Brown, 70, passed away peacefully December 18, 2016.He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lee Ann and his green buddy, Cyrano (a Red-lored Amazon parrot). Marc was a Tampa native and Hillsborough High School graduate as well as a University of South Florida alumnus. Marc was a charter member of the USF chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. After Lee and Marc were married in 1969, he served in the Army National Guard for 6 years and began teaching at Booker T. Washington Junior High School then at Tampa Catholic High School before moving to St. Joseph’s Hospital as a clinical chemist. After 27 years in the medical field, Marc resumed his teaching career at Alonso and Freedom High Schools, retiring in 2011. Marc was current president of the Orange Blossom Garden Club of Lutz and enjoyed his other hobbies of woodworking, relaxing at the family vacation cabin in North Carolina, traveling and spending time with good friends. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel, beach attire is encouraged, NO BLACK ATTIRE.
