He was born in Marianna, Florida to Edward and Georgia Fussell on August 26, 1943. He was married to his late wife Louise for 37 years. He retired as a building official in Lake County. Marcus was a proud Vietnam veteran who served with the Marine Corp. He loved cruising alongside his wife, building things, dancing, playing pool, visiting the mountains, but most of all, He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Marcus is survived by his three children, Katie Sheffield, Jim Hartog, and Mark Fussell Jr. He left behind eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Marcus will be remembered as a man of God who loved his home church, First Baptist of Lady Lake.
He is now home in heaven with the love of his life where he will live in eternal peace.
