Margaret “Ann” Babbitt was called to report to heaven on, March 28th, 2023, at the age of 86, peacefully in her Maggie Valley, NC mountain home surrounded by the love of her family. This is the way she wanted to leave her earthly home and was an amazing testimony of strength, courage and faced each season of life knowing God went before her and walked beside her. Her life verse; testifies her walk of faith, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
Her new residence is in heaven in the presence and loving arms of her Lord and Savior. Margaret Ann will certainly add a new flavor and beautiful contribution to the neighborhood of heaven with her infectious smile and love. She enjoyed her 86 years of life and love and will be sorely missed by all her family and friends.
She married her high school sweetheart, Frederick “Fred” Lee Babbitt on June 19, 1956, at the age of 20 in Bluefield, West Virginia and had their first child Rebecca in 1960. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred at the very young age of 37, they were married, 15 years. Together Margaret and Fred had three (3) children; Becky, Jeannie, and Edie in birth order. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannie. She is survived by (2) sons-in-law, 10 incredible grandchildren and (9) great-grandchildren. She is also survived and loved by countless friends, family, brothers, and sisters in Christ who grew to love her like their very own.
She attended Church of the Way in Tampa, FL as a long-time active member and servant and considered her CTW her family. Ann loved her CTW family and it was her pleasure to serve others through various areas of ministry. She also loved her call to serve God and others and ministering the good news of Jesus Christ whenever she felt called as well as in various nursing homes in the Tampa Bay area through Bible storytelling and songs. She believed in making a difference in people’s lives every chance she had. She never met a stranger and lived what she believed. What a beautiful testimony of faith, devotion and love for God and others.
Although Margaret Ann’s health battle was long and taxing, she never wavered in her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Army of Christ has received a decorated servant.
