Margaret Perez

Born in Mariel, Cuba, Margaret was a long-time resident of Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Adelfa Perez.

She is survived by her husband Fidelmar Bautista; her loving twin sister, Mercedes Calzada; her beloved son, Carlos R. Morales (Melissa); her cherished granddaughters, Tatiana, Briana, and Emily; her adored great-grandson, Maverick. She is also lovingly remembered by her niece, Angela Leon (Aramis), her nephew, Benito Calzada (Jazmin), her great-nieces and great-nephew along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Margaret was a long-time employee of Hillsborough County, where she dedicated many years of service with pride and commitment. She found great joy in dancing and spending time at the beach, embracing life with warmth, laughter, style and grace.

Margaret’s love, strength, and vibrant spirit will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on February 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, located at 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.

A committal service will take place at Garden of Memories Cemetery, East Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, from 3:00 pm to 3:15 pm on February 7, 2026.
