Margie was born in Berea, Kentucky to John & Jennie Hammond on April 4, 1939. She married Lind Voth on August 5, 1960 in Berea, Kentucky. With Lind’s career in broadcasting and the recording industry, they moved around the country and resided in Wheeling, West Virginia; Nashville, TN; Little Rock Arkansas; Decatur, Illinois; and Long Island, New York before settling in Florida in 1971. Margie was an incredible woman of faith whose impact is far reaching. As an amputee, she used what others would call a disability as a platform to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved counseling - especially pouring life into young women, as well as singing and speaking to women’s groups. Margie was an incredible prayer warrior as evidenced by volumes of filled prayer journals. She spent many hours on the mission field working primarily with children and sharing the love of Jesus. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother - always having time for those she loved.
Margie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lind; Children: Laurie Campbell (John); Vicki Howard (Van); Gregg Voth; Jenni Goodrich (Jim); Jeffrey Voth, Sr. (Molly); Grandchildren: Emma, Erin, Elizabeth, Abigail, Katherine, Scott, Morgan, Olivia, Jeffrey, Blake, Brantley, and Andrew; Great Grandchildren: Isla, Orion, and Collette.
