BOLSA, Mariano, 94, passed away January 22, 2021. Born in Havana, Cuba, he was one of 3 children born to the late Mariano and Consuelo Bolsa. Mariano married his soulmate, Maria Mercedes on September 17, 1948 and was a devoted husband until her passing in 2009. He was a hardworking man, never had time for hobbies or interests outside his self-made business. He started his business in Cuba manufacturing tin cans and then re-establish it in the United Sates manufacturing composite cans for the spice and condiment market. The business later expanded to manufacturing spiral paper tubes. He was an amazing self-taught machinist and tool and die maker, building most of the machinery for his manufacturing plant from the ground up twice; once in Cuba and again in the United States, being in the business for over 60 years. Mariano is survived by; son Victor Bolsa( Maricela), daughter Maria A Thurbekoos (Carlos), grandson Victor Bolsa, Jr (Zulma), great grandchildren; Jared and Tatyanah Bolsa, extended family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL, 33610.
