Marilyn was born in Milwaukee, WI to Carol and James Runge on August 19, 1954. She
attended the University of South Florida earning her bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She
worked as a Systems Financial Analyst at Baycare Healthcare Systems for many years.
Although she spent many years in the healthcare field, her true passion was her family. Marilyn
was one of the most graceful, generous, loving, and kind woman you’ll ever meet. Her smile,
sparkle in her eye, and special wink could light up any room. Marilyn had a true servant heart
and taking care of others was her specialty. She always took such special care to make sure
everyone felt loved on their birthdays, Christmas, and special occasions. She always gave the
best gifts. She put creative craftsmanship into every gift to ensure that everyone felt special
and loved.
Spending time outside at nature parks or strolling along the beach were among her great joys
in life. She loved to cook and sip on a fine wine with her partner Arturo (Art) Flores. Marilyn
always made sure there was a delicious spread of food at every visit for all to enjoy. Marilyn
and Art also enjoyed celebrating their birthdays at the Epcot International Food & Wine
Festival, sampling food and wine from around the world.
Marilyn is survived by her partner of 26 years, Arturo Flores as well as her parents James and
Carol Runge of Ocala, FL; her brother Randall Runge (Christine Miller) of Edgerton, WI; her
cousins and many nieces and nephews; and her best friend Cathy Armstrong of
Pasadena,Texas. Marilyn was preceded in death by her younger brother, James Richard Runge
and baby sister, Lisa Runge.
