Mark Andrew Jensen

JENSEN, Mark Andrew, age 76, of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Mark was born December 23, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Daniel and Joan Jensen. Mark grew up in Rockford, Illinois. From childhood on he enjoyed time with family and friends. He attended St. Olaf College, then pursued a career in data processing. He faithfully served in the Illinois National Guard. In 1981 he moved his family to Tampa, Florida. In due course his technical pioneering led him to USAA as IT Customer Support Analyst. As a devoted husband, father and grandpa, he accompanied, observed and participated in their activities. He enjoyed jogging, golf, and exploring new places. He had a passion for music throughout his life. He sang joyfully with the Master Chorale and sang praises in the Church Choir.

He will be remembered for his patience and kindness, love of God, family and friends. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Pat Jensen; daughters, Andrea Jensen Hayes (Mark) and Melissa Clayton; granddaughter, Madison Clayton; brother, Richard Jensen (Donna) and many loving family and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to their Moffitt team and LifePath Hospice for their exceptional care. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 Druid Hills Road, Temple Terrace, FL 33617. Mary Pat and Family:

Mark's passing is so heartbreaking. You and Mark were such an amazing couple, always so positive, and participated in so many things from Church to trips to meeting IT for dinner. I know this is very tough on you, your kids, and the many lives that Mark touched. We will always remember Mark as being the ultimate gentleman!
