

Marta was born in Guantánamo, Cuba, and immigrated to the United States with her parents and sister in 1968, beginning a life rooted in resilience, hard work, creativity, and love for family.
Marta and her husband Maximiliano Lora moved to the Tampa area from New Jersey in 1983 and raised their children among lifelong friends. Marta touched countless lives, through preparing memorable meals, sharing her artistic talents, and helping others feel confident and beautiful as a hairdresser for over 30 years. Her generosity, warmth, and creative spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marta is survived by her children, Max along with his wife Orisel, Lisette and son in law, Steve; her beloved grandchildren, Gia, Maxi, Freddy, and Annette; her sister, Lillian; her brother-in-law, Armando; her nephews, Danny and Christian and niece, Alexa.
A visitation will be held at Blount and Curry Carrollwood, located at 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618, on January 5, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at the same location at 1:00 pm also on January 5, 2026.
