Martha Carolyn Kent

Martha and W C were married September 4, 1954 in Statenville, Georgia. They fell in love and were married for 64 years before W C passed away to be eternally with the Lord. They had four children: Nan Walden, Carl Kent, Jr., Connie Thomas, and Kimberly Fairley. She had 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren who love her greatly.

After working many years for the Hillsborough County School District, she retired to support her husband, W C who was the pastor at the church they attended for approximately 20 years. Martha loved the church, reading her Bible, crossword puzzles, and country gospel music. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the fullness and passion of her life. Nothing brought her more joy.

Martha is survived by her family who loved her greatly. She was preceded in passing by her parents, sister, Jackie Gardner, husband, W C, son Carl, daughters Kim and Connie.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service with Interment to follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
