Martha L. Lindsey

LINDSEY, Martha L., age 92, of Thonotosassa, FL entered into rest on Sunday, May 17, 2020. She was born August 10, 1927 in Tampa, the daughter of Edward Young and Bessie Touchstone.

Martha Louise Lindsey was a lifetime resident of Tampa, Florida. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Plant City. Throughout her life she sang in various church choirs. Martha was a self-taught pianist and artist and a talented seamstress. She enjoyed volunteering at the Community Hospital in Tampa. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Pace, Master Seargeant Ralph Lee Wells and Reverend John Ray Lindsey; and daughter, Elizabeth Dixon. Survivors include her daughters, Sherrie Graham (Reverend Macon Lee Graham), Vicki Livingston (Joe Livingston) and Amber Bartley (Dr. David Bartley). She was blessed with eleven grandchildren; in addition to several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Blount and Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel, Temple Terrace. A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Harmony Baptist Church, Plant City. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. A private interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Those desiring may make a donation in Martha’s memory to the Bearing Precious Seed Ministry c/o Harmony Baptist Church, 6008 W. Knights Griffin Road, Plant City, FL 33565.

I love you and miss you Momma but know you are in heaven with Jesus and look forward to seeing you again there!!! Thank you for being my Momma and living me and bringing me to church when I was little and all through my growing up years And singing to me Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so little ones toHim belong we are weak but You are strong ! My heart goes out to Ms. Amber and Momma Lindsey’s family. A very dear sweet lady and my neighbor!! She loved and worshipped the Lord all her days. She loved her church family deeply and they loved her. God Bless the family as they go through these next few days rejoicing in the Lord. Momma Lindsey is home!!!!!
