Martha is now in Heaven in the loving embrace of her parents, Joseph and Rosa Piniella Arduengo. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Arthur Irvan Springer; children David Springer, Michael Springer (Susan), Elizabeth Springer, Susan Kelly, Sharon Arrowood (David) and Arthur Springer (Brenda), 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Through the best and most difficult of times our mother focused all her energy to make sure that her family was cared for and secure from the uncertain world around them. A longtime active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Martha was passionate about her community volunteer work with the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild, Tampa Orchid Club (Sunshine Lady), the Tampa Garden Club and the Red Hat Ladies Club. In addition, she volunteered with EMH students at Robert E Lee Elementary school. Martha had a love for the arts and found joy by volunteering as an usher for 27 years at the Performing Arts Center (The Straz). Martha and Art had a passion for square dancing which led to decades of great enjoyment and lifelong friendships with their fellow dancers. Martha's Christian life and generous spirit was an influence to many and will remain in their hearts forever.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" Psalm 116:15.
