Mary Frances Connor

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Mary Frances Connor, who left us on October 29, 2025, at the age of 91. She was a cherished spouse, sibling, parent and friend whose warmth and kindness touched many lives.

Born on February 27, 1934, in Shelby, NC, Mary lived a life filled with compassion, motherly love and devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her kindness, sense of fairness and for always being there to lend a helping hand.

Mary is survived by son Ronald Connor and his wife Christine, daughter Deborah Connor, daughter Susan Funsch and her husband Douglas Funsch, grandchildren Heather Pearce and her husband John, Kensie Funsch, Peyton Funsch and great grandchildren Mary Pearce, John Pearce, Jr., Everly Pearce and Oliver Pearce, sisters Blanche Blanton, Dianne Bostic and Vickie Humphries, as well as many dear friends. She was preceded in death by husband Harold Dean Connor and son William Dale Connor.

Mary and Dean were happily married for 66 years, enjoying their moves throughout his USAF career, raising their four children together, then being blessed with three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. They also greatly enjoyed their dedication and contributions to the Air Force Security Forces Association where Dean has the distinction of being listed as a Hall of Fame Member.

Mary will be laid to rest alongside Dean at Florida National Cemetery. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she and Dean rest together forever in loving peace.
