June 22, 1947 – October 27, 2026
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved Mary Kay, 79, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, who was called home to the Lord on October 27, 2026.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mary Kay attended St. Wendelin Catholic High School, where her Catholic faith became an important part of her life’s journey.
Mary Kay devoted her life to what mattered most to her — her family. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she filled the lives of those around her with love and countless cherished memories. Her greatest joy was her family, and the love she gave them will remain in their hearts forever.
Mary Kay found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach, visiting Hawaii, enjoying the magic of Disney World, and, of course, a little shopping. Whether enjoying a beautiful ocean view or making memories with those she loved, Mary Kay embraced the moments that made life special.
Mary Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dorothy McGill, and her brother, Billy McGill.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Rich; her son Jeff and his wife, Beth; her daughter Kimberly and her husband, Mike; and her son Scott. She was a proud and loving Grandmother to her 3 grandsons Joey, Matteo, and Mikey, who brought so much joy to her life. She is also survived by her younger sister, Jean; nephew, Alex along with extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
While our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in our Catholic faith and in God’s promise of eternal life. We trust that Mary Kay has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, where there is no more pain or sorrow, only everlasting peace.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 9:30am to 10:30am at St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9724 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647. A funeral mass will follow starting at 10:30am.
