Mary Rose Hansen a lifelong resident of Tampa passed away on Saturday after a long battle with cancer. Mary was an amazing woman and her smile and humor will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her loving son David Hansen, her two grandchildren Monica Nieves and Christian Hansen, who kept her going through it all, her sister Martha Buis, who was her rock, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Henry Hansen, brothers Lawrence, Eugene and Charles Ertley and sister Ruth Ann Ertley. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 29,2014 from 6-8pm at the Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel . The funeral will take place Friday, 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her memory to the Spring of Tampa Bay.
