She retired from Paradise Fruit Company and enjoyed spending her days watching soap operas while attending to household chores and completing a variety of word puzzle books.
She is preceded in death by her mother Ruby Jacobs and father Huey Jacobs, brothers Johnnie H. Jacobs, Ecil Jacobs, Hal B. Jacobs, Jerry Jacobs, sisters Elizabeth West, Helen F. Williams, and 3 sons; Gary Riddle, Jimmy Riddle, and Robert S. Long.
Mary is survived by Bruce E. Hitt, her beloved husband of over 46 years, her daughter Mary Ann Mass of Fayetteville N.C., 2 sons Max (Amanda) Riddle of Harvest, Alabama and Kenneth R. Long Jr. of Brandon, FL, 6 granddaughters, 5 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons, extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends 10 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610. Entombment will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
