Mary Louise moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1968 from southern California and on to Tampa in 1993. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1924, Mary Louise attended elementary school at St. Colman Catholic School, graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in 1942, and Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. As a registered nurse, she loved working in the operating room. She went on to work as a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines, flying on the DC-3, before becoming a homemaker in 1947 with the birth of her first son. Mary Louise’s first love was her children, as was her father’s, and she devoted her life’s work to them. Her children adored her. Known for her culinary skills, Mary Louise cooked splendid meals for her family and friends and baked thousands of cookies and pies, but her specialty was homemade baked bread, which she often made for her children, friends, neighbors, and many others. Mary Louise’s family is especially grateful for her wonderful caretakers, Frankie and Imee Fabic, and their children, whose devotion to Mary Louise was unequalled. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that you perform a random act of kindness. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on December 14, 2017 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL 33618; a graveside service will take place at 2pm on December 15, 2017 at Lake Carroll Cemetery. www.BlountCurryCarrollwood.com
