Maureen (Erekson) Schwartz, 48, of Lutz, Florida, formerly of Danvers, MA entered into eternal peace on December 14, 2022. Maureen, “Moe” to those who loved and cherished her, was born on October 11, 1974 in Lynn, MA and was a lifelong resident of Danvers, MA until moving to Florida with her husband in 2004 to raise their family. After obtaining her nursing degree in 1996 from Salem State University, Maureen answered her calling and spent her life working as a registered nurse in neonatal units helping families to experience the joys of childbirth and helping to welcome new lives into this world.
Although Maureen’s calling was nursing, her true passion was being a loving and devoted mother to her three children, Marc, Miranda, and Nicole, and best friend and wife to her husband Steven Schwartz. Nothing meant more to Moe than watching her children grow and thrive through their chosen activities, sharing family dinners, and spending time with her cherished friends Lyn (Cignetti) Vercellone, Jen (Stevens) Rooney, Sarah (Brilliant) Lemma, as well as an innumerable amount of softball moms.
Maureen is survived by husband Steven Schwarz; her three children Marc, Miranda and Nicole; father Normand Erekson and Judy Butler of Summerfield, FL; sister Melissa Erekson of State College, PA; aunt Judi Erekson of Dunedin, FL; and several loved and adored nieces and nephews. Maureen was preceded in death by mother, Barbara Erekson; brother, Michael Erekson, and uncle, Roger Erekson.
