

Max was born in Bogota, Colombia moved to New York in 1962 and has been a Tampa resident since 1987. Max loved his family, soccer, and auto body painting, all with passion and heart. Max a man of great faith was a parishioner of St. Paul. He enjoyed reading non-fictional books, cooking for the family and watching his favorite soccer team Santa Fe on TV.
Survived by his five children Martha Zambrano Madero, Carmen Zambrano Garcia (Jarley), Jaime Zambrano (Cathie), Max Zambrano Jr. (Anne), Ricky Zambrano (Brandee); grandchildren Natalie & Andrew Madero; Brian & Daniel Zambrano; Lt. JG Christopher Garcia (USN) and Gabriel Garcia; Isabella & Olivia Zambrano; Amaya & Nicholas Zambrano; great grandson Lennon J. Zambrano; brothers Jaime & Eduardo; sister Elena Cunningham; 12 nieces & nephews and 3 great nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents Maximilian and Carmen Zambrano; 2 brothers Santiago & Alberto; and one sister Carmenza Plazas. Max’s wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all.
The family will greet friends on Monday Jan. 22, 2018 from 4 - 8 pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday Jan. 23, 2018 at St. Paul’s Church, 12708 No. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33618. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery 4207 E. Lake Ave., Tampa, FL 33610. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice (Melech House).
