Michael “Mike” Davis, 50, of Lutz, Florida, passed away suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born on June 14, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, Mike carried his love for his hometown with him throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Valerie Davis, his grandmother Rebecca Davis, and his grandfather, Collie Davis Sr.
He is survived by his devoted wife of over 15 years, Marlene; his beloved sons, Jacob and Michael Jr.; his sisters, Nikki and Kenji Davis; his parents-in-law, Mike and Eileen Nolan; his brother-in-law, Mike Nolan; his sister-in-law, Melissa Blaney; his cherished nieces and nephews, John, Deon, Daja, Brendan, Carson, and Brady; his adored great-nieces and great-nephews, Ja'laycia, Ja'niyah, Kingston, and Jaxon; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
Mike was truly the life of every party—always the first to offer a handshake or a hug, and never missing a chance to brighten someone’s day with his infectious spirit. With a heart as big as his smile, he made friends wherever he went and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A proud Chicagoan at heart, Mike’s love for his hometown—and especially for the Chicago Bears—was unwavering. His love story with Marlene began in Chicago and quickly grew into a lifelong partnership, a testament to the magic of the city that meant so much to them both.
Above all, family was the center of Mike’s world. He was his sons’ biggest fan, cheering them on in every endeavor and teaching them the importance of kindness, humor, and unconditional love. His legacy lives on through Michael Jr. and Jacob, who carry forward his warmth, strength, and joy for life.
Mike was also known as the “fun uncle,” always ready with a joke, a story, or an adventure. He lived life with passion and authenticity, inspiring those around him to embrace each moment fully. He was a trusted handyman in his community, always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors—whether fixing something small or tackling a bigger project. He gave his time generously, and his kindness did not go unnoticed; he was deeply loved by those around him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17th to honor the joy Mike brought into the world and the countless lives he touched. His memory will forever be a guiding light to his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
