Michael was born in San Antonio, TX to Christine Hunter and Frank Falcon. His childhood antics would label him would as a hooligan, but even then he was always charismatic and a comic. At 15, he met the love of his life, Alicia.
After graduating John F Kennedy High School, he attended Eastern Michigan University. There, he helped form a Chicano society for the betterment of the Latino community, and assisted in shutting down the school to protest the inequality pervasive at the University.
After leaving Michigan, Michael married his high school sweetheart. He and Alicia started their lives exploring all of Texas, and the rest of United States- something they would continue with their children. In 1982, they welcomed Michael Jr. 6 Years later, Adriane joined the family after they moved to Tampa, FL.
Michael worked hard in the high reach equipment industry, providing everything he wished for his family. They went on regular adventures throughout the US and overseas. He reveled in creating a menagerie of animals, sharing his love of reading with his children, and getting them interested in music.
Through their formative years, Michael was an attentive and supportive father, despite his hectic travel schedule. He would always take June and December off to spend ample time with his family.
Once Facebook became more prevalent, A whole new world opened up for Michael. He reconnected with so many people from his past, and created a whole new second family. With those friends, along with the new ones he made along the way, he had a new outlet for his ideas, opinions, and his humor!
Throughout his life, he had always been a jokester, attempting to bring humor to any moment, no matter what the circumstance. Whether it be a wedding, gathering, or a funeral, he would always attempt to bring a little lightheartedness and laughter to anyone’s heart. His laughter was pervasive and infectious, not to mention very distinctive. He loved especially making the most serious person laugh.
During his last days, he was still adamant about cracking his usual brand of jokes- from making funny off hand comments to nurses, to calling his daughter in law, Laura, a "bad girl" when she brought him a beer to enjoy. He loved to play with his "little doggie" Lily, and got to see her one more time before he passed.
He is preceded by his father (Frank Falcon), his in laws (Dimas & Victoria Villanueva and Anatolio Herrera), and his son in law, Daniel Allmond. He is survived by his wife Alicia, and his children Michael Jr (daughter in law Laura Donovan) and Adriane. He also leaves his mother (Christine Hunter) and his siblings (Nancy Falcon, Frank Falcon Jr, and Diane Rodriguez (brother in law Johnny Rodriguez).
Michael was larger than life and a true enigma- a jokester till the end, but with such a talent for advice giving, compassion, and a perfectly stoic demeanor when necessary. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In honoring Michael's memory, the family is requesting guests wear his preferred colors- red and black.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Falcon family.
