Eric and I just found out about Michael's passing. We became friends in 1992 and very much enjoyed spending time with Michael and Gail and Joel. We are extremely sorry for his loss.

I assist managing HJG (the Historic Jetliners Group) .... a civil aviation history oriented website which is based on MS Flight Simulator.

Michael VERLIN was one of the original founders of HJG.

Within HJG Michael was responsible for a lot of HJG's very early panel and FDE work .... prior to 2006.

He was also an enthusiastic painter of HJG's 3D models for MSFS .... and who's textures continue to grace most pages of the HJG website and which will remain as a permanent memorial to him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michael (and his wife Gail), in Florida, on 2 occasions during the early 2000's and I continue to value his advice and friendship .... which have remained an FS inspiration to me all these years since.

RIP Michael .... and "THANK YOU" for your enormous contribution to HJG during its early fledgling years .... and which remains an integral part of HJG today .... just as it will in the future too.

I have only this moment learned of Michael's passing.

I extend my belated but none the less sincere condolences to Gail .... and to the VERLIN family.
