

Myrna Cometa Lester left this world too soon on March 25, 2022 at the age of 57. Myrna was born on August 14, 1964 in the municipality of Villaba located in the province of Leyte, Philippines. Myrna came to the United States in 1986 and had the opportunity to live in France, Botswana and Panama in her lifetime.
Myrna had a passion for her family, cooking, and gardening. Cooking was her love language, and was a way that she expressed her selfless love and devotion to those she cherished most. She was selfless, resilient, and worked very hard to ensure the ones she loved were taken care of. Myrna’s dream was to retire and return home to the Philippines with her loving husband, Herbert Lester Jr.
Myrna is now reunited with her parents, Ildefonsa and Ricardo Cometa; also, mother-in-law, Lottie Lester (recently deceased); and leaves behind her husband, Herbert Lester; two children, Jennifer (Amin) Sarhaddi, Christopher (Marchelle) Nebolsky; grandchildren, Christopher, Madisyn, Bayleigh, and Amin Jr. Sarhaddi, Christopher and Zachary Nebolsky; as well as her siblings that currently reside in the Philippines, Gemma Khawaja, Ejing Wakeley, Antonio, Bonifacio, Ricardo Jr., Margarito, Romeo and Rebecco Cometa, whom she all adored dearly; and surviving in-laws.
Myrna was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Myrna will be missed tremendously by many, and has blessed many lives with her presence and joy.
A Funeral Service for Myrna will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
