Nancy Dean Berry

Nancy Cochran Berry, of Tampa, FL, passed away May 13, 2025 in Floyd, VA. Nancy was born January 21, 1942 in Tampa, FL to Alice Dean Mabry and Paul Davis Cochran, Jr. Nancy graduated from H. B. Plant High School, Class of 1960. She went on to study at Stephens College and graduated from the University of Georgia. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was in the Junior League of Tampa. Nancy spent her time using her unique talents of floral design and decorating to bring joy and happiness to themed parties, holiday soirées, and many South Tampa brides and homes.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Berry, Jr.; cousins, Patricia “Patti” Dale Boring Sellas, Tampa, James Milton Boring, Winter Haven, FL. She is survived by her son, Paul Edward Berry, and daughter-in-law, Caren Diane Carney Berry, Floyd, VA; grandchild, Camryn Diane Berry, Floyd, VA; cousins, Linda Ward (David), Tampa, Dale Smith Lloyd (George), Blackshear, GA, Drew Smith (Kay), Valdosta, GA, Dennis Smith (Leigh), Valdosta, GA.

Nancy will be laid to rest in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Tampa, FL in a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association. https://www.alz.org/
